Welcome back students and parents to your 2016-17 6th grade
school year. This is your teacher, Ms. Alexander, and your math online
resource for information and updates about our math
class. Hopefully, you are well-rested and eager to begin your first year in middle school.
It is my
desire that you have a successful 6th grade term where you will not
only grow academically but show a marked level of growth as well-rounded,
productive citizens of the Rockdale Public School System. I am here to
assist you in whatever way possible in order for you to make that
happen.
New, this year, students will be issued a laptop. It is important that your child maintain his/her computer at all times. Make sure that your child is only using the laptop for instructional purposes only. Please allow no downloads that are not permitted by your child's teacher. Always fully charge the laptop each night before returning to school.
Parents, I do need your help. Please make sure you are checking the website regularly. Speak with your child each evening about what he/she is learning in school. This should coincide with the daily homework written in your child's agenda and the interactive notebook. Be on the lookout for the Friday Folder with updates on instruction and graded assignments given back to your child. And last, but certainly not least, remind your child that CMS Bulldogs are
Respectful, Responsible, and Safe.
Parents, please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule a conference. Team 6B is available for meeting with you on Monday and Fridays during our planning period. You are also welcomed to schedule a day in which you may sit in on a class with your child, just to see what a day in the school life of your child looks like.
